My Polaroid Life

So a bit of a life update. I am getting married in a month. Which is a terrifying thought and also (obviously) a really exciting thought.

My fiance’ finally is back in the same state. He started a job, and somehow things are starting to fall into place even in the midst of all of this craziness.

Sure we aren’t going to have the wedding we originally planned due to Covid-19 restrictions. . .but we have been planning a small ceremony and I think it will good.

Last week we got our wedding rings, and our marriage license. . .so now we just have a few more things to check off our checklist, and then we should be good.

Two months ago when we decided to call off our actual wedding, I had no idea how things were going to fall into place, and to be honest there are still somethings that have yet to fall into place, but a lot of things have somehow fallen into place. . .and I’m sure the other things will in no time, (which is good because I feel like we practically have no time)

I’ve mentioned this before on my blog, but life is like a Polaroid picture. . .it is black at first and then slowly starts to develop. (Yeah I did not come up with that so kudos to whoever actually said it. I give them full credit)

Why I am Thankful

I could talk about how I didn’t think 2020 could get any worse, and then seemingly overnight, the world feels like it really is coming to an end. . .but that’s not what I’m going to talk about today.

I’m going to talk about how thankful I am. You might say “Thankful? With all this going on, what do you have to be thankful for?”

Well let me tell you that was my attitude probably when we started quarantine, but today I am thankful.

I’m thankful I have a God that will take care of me, a fiance’ I get to see in less than a week, a family I know is safe.

Even though there are several things going on right now that I am definitely not thankful for, there are still several reasons I can find to be thankful.

But the best reason is I serve a God that is bigger than all of this.
